  • Overview


    POSITION SUMMARY:  Under direct supervision, will perform a variety of clerical duties that assist in day-to-day operations of the Branch Office.


    This position requires physical presence in the Branch Office in order to perform the essential job functions; therefore consistently being on time at work in the office in a timely manner, is inherently required of this position.




    • Prepares and processes medical, legal and other payments on files as directed by the Branch Manager, Claims Supervisor or Claims Examiner.*
    • Documents all work product and payment activity in the electronic claim file.*
    • Answers all incoming calls on multiple lines, queries claims system and forwards to the appropriate claims personnel.*
    • Collects incoming mail and distributes to the appropriate claims unit.*
    • Collects outgoing mail, processes through stamp meter and places in appropriate area for pick-up.*
    • Operates fax machine for incoming and outgoing messages.  Distributes faxes to receiving party.*
    • Sends and receives shipped parcels and packages via courier and shipping vendors.*
    • Acts as contact person for maintenance of office machines and physical office.*
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience:  High school diploma or GED, and one (1) year related experience (preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
    • Ability to communicate with clients and branch personnel in a respectful and timely manner. 
    • Ability to multi-task.
